OUR HISTORY:
On August 8, 1956, the Cooperativa Agrícola "Virgen de la Cueva Santa" was officially constituted, giving an account of the approval of the statutes of this Cooperative, which was registered on March 23, 1956 in the Register of Cooperatives with the number 7,018.
In 1957, through a syndicated loan from the Colonization Institute of Alicante, enough money was obtained to install the mill with machinery from Rodes Hermanos de Alcoy and initiate the foundational objective of transforming and sell the olive, which was at that time the product most predominant in the population and district.
Throughout its history the Cooperative has carried out several projects, so in the mid-80s of the last century, there was a first reform of the mill with the installation of metal hoppers for the reception of the olive, the trainer of charges automatic and the replacement of the old stone mill by a metal one.
In 2003, the entire oil production process was changed, replacing the old presses with a Continuous Extraction System (SEC).
